RED CARPET READY, BDJ BOX
I was so excited to come home to this little box of goodies from Belle de Jour – the makers of the Belle de Jour Power Planners.
This box was filled with great products from two very well established brands – Shiseido and Elizabeth Arden. It has all the basics for a glam, put together look perfect not just for everyday but even on a red-carpet as well. Very French if you ask me. Here are what’s inside my BDJ Box.
My lips are quite pigmented especially on the corners and it has been my insecurity for the longest time. It makes my lips look discolored and To cover this, I would just put concealer over my lips and make the canvass as even colored as possible but I found that this method makes my lips feel a little cakey.
That’s why I was so happy to discover the wonderful world of lip priming with MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base (Php1000).
I’ve been eyeing this palette for a while now because I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about it’s ‘predecessor’ the Tartelette. I did consider getting that too but it was all matte and I had a couple of Matte Eye shadows already.
The Tartelette in Bloom also has 12 shades named after ‘women characteristics’ but unlike the original Tartelette, this one has three pretty shimmery shades, all of which I love love love ❤
I’M BAAAAACK! I apologize if I have been MIA for so long. I’ve been kind of in a slump lately but I think I got my mojo back and I have a lot of stuff to share with you! First among them is the Benefit Totally B.RIGHT Kit.
I’ve been totally hooked on Benefit Cosmetics since I got that Life of the Party box last November. So far, I like all of their cosmetics (except for the 15-hour primer which was just like glue on my face) and have been fantasizing about their skin care line. They’re all high end in terms of price though (at least for me) so I was glad to have found this sort of mini kit that will let me try them all out first to see if they actually are worth it.
I’ve been super curious about Benefit for a while now. I’ve never really bought anything from the brand up until now because.. I’m not sure. I have my “comfort brands” if you know what I mean so I often just reach for that.I had my make up done for an acting stint recently and the make up artist used one of Benefit’s boxed powders. Then a sudden flood of memories about how much I loved Benefit’s foundation and blushes on me (done by a different make up artist eons ago). And because I feel like some of my make up need to be replaced now, I decided to go to our local Benefit store and try out a few stuff.
It just so happened that Benefit just released a new limited edition “full face” kit for the holidays and it’s called “LIFE OF THE PARTY”.
Liquid Matte lipsticks are all the rage nowadays (all thanks to King Kylie). Almost all cosmetic companies are coming up with their own version. I remember using a few from NYX, but now, some products claim to be smudge-proof. The most popular ones seem to be from Lime Crime and LA Splash.
Lipsticks are definitely my weapon of choice, especially when they’re in Red. So I’m exceptionally excited to finally try out my first (yes, first) smudge-proof liquid matte lipstick and it is one of Lime Crime’s most popular shades from their Velvetines Collection, RIOT.
Heatless curling methods are quite popular because it doesn’t damage hair as much as heat styling tools do. There are a number of ways to do this, but for today’s tutorial I’ll be using BENDY FOAMS!
