I’ve been eyeing this palette for a while now because I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about it’s ‘predecessor’ the Tartelette. I did consider getting that too but it was all matte and I had a couple of Matte Eye shadows already.
The Tartelette in Bloom also has 12 shades named after ‘women characteristics’ but unlike the original Tartelette, this one has three pretty shimmery shades, all of which I love love love ❤
I’ve been super curious about Benefit for a while now. I’ve never really bought anything from the brand up until now because.. I’m not sure. I have my “comfort brands” if you know what I mean so I often just reach for that.I had my make up done for an acting stint recently and the make up artist used one of Benefit’s boxed powders. Then a sudden flood of memories about how much I loved Benefit’s foundation and blushes on me (done by a different make up artist eons ago). And because I feel like some of my make up need to be replaced now, I decided to go to our local Benefit store and try out a few stuff.
It just so happened that Benefit just released a new limited edition “full face” kit for the holidays and it’s called “LIFE OF THE PARTY”.
Liquid Matte lipsticks are all the rage nowadays (all thanks to King Kylie). Almost all cosmetic companies are coming up with their own version. I remember using a few from NYX, but now, some products claim to be smudge-proof. The most popular ones seem to be from Lime Crime and LA Splash.
Lipsticks are definitely my weapon of choice, especially when they’re in Red. So I’m exceptionally excited to finally try out my first (yes, first) smudge-proof liquid matte lipstick and it is one of Lime Crime’s most popular shades from their Velvetines Collection, RIOT.
