Hogs and Cattle, Century Mall
Wagyu. Unlimited. Put these two words together and Jeff and I will come running. That’s why we tried out the unlimited wagyu in Hogs and Cattle in Century Mall. Wagyu is pretty high quality meat so upon learning the price, I wasn’t expecting much. But even though I was right about the steak being ‘less than impressive’, I won’t write off Hogs and Cattle out of my list just yet.
Gyu Jin, Tsim Sha Tsui
For some people, comfort food means french fries, mac and cheese, fried chicken and cakes. What comforts me the most though is hot pot (or shabu shabu as we call it). There’s nothing like that warm soup of delicious broth and spices running down from my throat to my stomach giving me a warm hug from within. lol.
Gyu Jin Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki was simply the perfect conclusion to a tiring day walking around the streets of Hong Kong. It was delicious, satisfying and UNLIMITED. Woo hoo!
Sugar Factory, BGC
I can’t believe Jeff and I just celebrated our 2nd anniversary! *woot woot!* I can’t remember a time without him anymore. lol. I don’t want to get too cheesy so I’ll leave it at that. For now, let me show you where we decided to eat to celebrate this milestone.
Sugar Factory, originally from the United States, opened its first branch in Asia here in the Philippines. Their Manila store is located in the new Shangri-la at The Fort right beside Kerry’s Sports.
Maisen officially opened their second branch a few days ago in SM Megamall. It was attended by no less than the Izutsu Maisen Co. Ltd. President himself Mr. Takeshi Okamoto and Suyen Corporation Chairman and CEO Mr. Ben Chan. It was brought to the Philippines by Suyen Corporation in partnership with celebrity couple Richard and Lucy Gomez, Chef Florabel Co-Yatco, restaurant Tycoon Enrico ‘Rikki’ Dee and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
It’s first branch in the country opened last month in Greenbelt and the SM North EDSA Branch is on its soft opening.
I recently blogged about Maisen (see post here.) but I learned a lot more about the brand during its opening and I’m so excited to share with you just how much more there is to this katsu.
