Isla Sugbu Seafood City, Taguig

Isla Sugbu Seafood City, Venice Piazza McKinley

Unlimited seafood in the city at a relatively affordable price – that’s what Isla Sugbu Seafood City is offering to its diners inside the second floor of Venice Piazza Mall, McKinley. The idea is quite idealistic honestly but Jeff and I decided to try it out anyway.

Jeff discovered this place via Instagram sponsored posts. Apparently, the concept came from Cebu and is managed by the same people who brought us Kuya J. The dishes looked tasty and the clean “market” inside the mall was definitely a plus. The price point was pretty tempting too, at only Php888.00++.

Kota Beach Resort, Santa Fe Bantayan

You might have heard of Camp Sawi, the fictional boot camp for broken hearted men and women in the middle of nowhere surrounded by sea and sand. That movie was shot in Kota Beach Resort located less than 10 minutes away from the Santa Fe Port, in the Bantayan Islands of Northern Cebu. Sadly the Camp Sawi Signage isn’t up anymore but the beach is definitely more than a movie set.

Poke Bowl – I Choose You!

 20170823_142627

It was like sushi and bibimbap made love.

I discovered the poke bowl in Dean and Deluca. And although I swore never to eat rice again, the temptation was just too hard to resist. In fact, I am eating one right now as I’m typing this entry. It has everything I can possibly want – fresh sashimi, seaweed and veggies, sweet Japanese rice and a dash of spicy sauce.

Incoco Nail Polish Appliques: Yay or Nay?

Incoco Nail Polish Applique

I can’t be the only one who can paint her nails perfectly on one hand and just completely mess up the other! It’s so frustrating because not everyone has the time to go to nail salons and frankly, visits can get pretty expensive especially if you like your nails bedazzled or you long for that perfect French Tip.

That’s why I’m so excited to see the first Incoco Store in Megamall!

Hogs and Cattle, Makati

Hogs and Cattle, Century Mall

Wagyu. Unlimited. Put these two words together and Jeff and I will come running. That’s why we tried out the unlimited wagyu in Hogs and Cattle in Century Mall. Wagyu is pretty high quality meat so upon learning the price, I wasn’t expecting much. But even though I was right about the steak being ‘less than impressive’, I won’t write off Hogs and Cattle out of my list just yet.

Kyo-To, Makati

Kyo-To, Legazpi Village

The restaurant itself will probably not catch your attention, but Kyo-to is definitely not one to miss especially if you love Japanese food as much as I do. The only things loud about the place are the food and of course, the chef himself Chef Kawamoto who worked for no less than the Japanese ambassador.

They say it’s authentic Kaiseki Ryori (Japanese multi course meal) but I can’t judge because I’ve never been to one. All I know is that I left happy and satisfied and barely breathing. lol 😀
